Welcome.

My name is Nathalie Rotermundt, and this is the place where a very personal journey grew into a much bigger idea.

For many years, I have worked with people as a coach and NLP trainer. In countless conversations, training sessions and personal experiences, I kept seeing the same thing:

People often look outside themselves for answers.

We ask others what we should do. We search for solutions. We try to change circumstances, relationships or the people around us.

But the most powerful change often begins somewhere else.

Within ourselves.

That belief became the foundation of everything I do today — and eventually, it became the foundation of AYA.

Where it began

Landgoed Rotermundt is more than a beautiful estate in the Netherlands.

It has become a place for connection, reflection, training and personal development. A place where people can temporarily step away from the noise of everyday life and create space to look inward.

During my work here, an idea began to grow.

I started wondering:

What if this kind of reflection didn’t have to depend on a particular place, appointment or moment?

What if you could have access to a meaningful conversation whenever you needed one?

At home. While travelling. In the middle of the night. Or at the exact moment something happens that touches you.

What if technology could be used not to give people all the answers — but to help them discover their own?

That question became AYA.

AYA – Awaken Your Awareness

AYA is being created as an intelligent AI-powered platform for personal awareness, reflection and growth.

But the intention behind AYA is actually very human.

AYA isn’t being created to tell you how to live your life.

It isn’t there to decide what is right or wrong for you.

And it isn’t there to become the expert on who you are.

You are the expert on your own life.

AYA is there to listen, to ask questions, to reflect and to help you look beyond the first answer.

Because behind our reactions there are often emotions.
Behind emotions there can be patterns.
Behind patterns there can be experiences, beliefs and values.

And when we begin to see those layers, something changes.

We become aware.

And awareness creates choice.

The meaning behind the tree

The tree has always been an important symbol within AYA.

The roots represent the unconscious.
Everything beneath the surface that influences the way we think, feel and respond.

The trunk represents you.
The person at the centre of your own life.

The branches represent growth and deeper exploration.

And that is also how we envision AYA growing.

At its heart is personal awareness. From there, different branches can develop around the areas that are part of real life — relationships, grief, separation, wellbeing, meditation, movement, nutrition, learning, care and many more.

Knowledge and technology can continue to grow.

But the person always remains at the centre.

From one estate to a world without borders

AYA was born here at Landgoed Rotermundt.

This estate remains the physical home of the philosophy behind AYA — a place where people can meet, stay, learn, train, reflect and connect in real life.

AYA takes that philosophy beyond the boundaries of this place.

We are developing the platform in Dutch and English first, with the ambition to expand into more languages and make AYA accessible internationally.

What began with real conversations between people at one place in the Netherlands can eventually become available to someone anywhere in the world.

And that thought still amazes me.

The intention behind AYA

My ambition is big, but the intention is simple.

I want people to become more aware of themselves.

Not because something is wrong with them.

Not because they need to become someone else.

But because so much becomes possible when we begin to understand what is happening within us.

AYA isn’t about creating a new you.

It’s about discovering more of the person who is already there.

We are still building.
Still learning.
Still testing.
Still discovering what AYA can become.

And perhaps that is the most exciting part.

You are not visiting something that is already finished.

You are here at the beginning.
